American Sign Language (ASL) Placement Testing

Test Dates
Placement assessments for students entering the program are completed on a rolling basis by request. The test will remain available outside the official testing dates.
Overview
Students who would like to enroll in an ASL class are required to take the departmental placement test, unless they are absolute beginners or have already taken an ASL class at Yale. This test will help determine which ASL class you should take.
