Overview
The Arabic Placement Test consists of an online test and a face-to-face interview. Please note that the placement test is only available for the fall semester.
The online placement test is divided into three levels. Depending on your score on each level, you will be asked to continue to the next level. Each level should be completed within 60 minutes. The test may only be started once and cannot be paused. Please take the test in a quiet room with a good pair of headphones (or ear buds) and no distractions. If you don’t know the answer, leave it blank. Please, don’t guess.
The oral evaluation will be held following the online placement testing period. Students who have taken the online exam will receive an invitation to the Zoom meeting and instructions for joining the meeting. Upon entering the Zoom meeting, you will be placed in a virtual waiting room until spots open up in the breakout rooms. The oral evaluation itself will last for no longer than 20 minutes.
For additional information on the Arabic language program, refer to the Arabic Department website. For questions, please contact Miguel Perez-Cabello.
