Pedagogy Workshop

Held the week before classes begin in August, this intensive, weeklong pedagogy workshop is designed for graduate students at the start of their language teaching careers. It serves as a replacement for the Teaching at Yale orientation. By the end of the workshop, participants will be familiar with language teaching at Yale, able to design effective in-class activities, and equipped with strategies to foster an engaged classroom environment. Topics covered include integrating multimedia materials, addressing common learner challenges, utilizing online course management tools, and navigating campus resources. Contact Fernando Rubio or Mary Jo Lubrano with questions.
