Summary: The second editions of the You Speak Korean (YSK) series have been significantly updated to reflect recent changes in student populations and learning needs, as well as current teaching approaches (e.g., performance- and proficiency-based instruction, backward design, and task-supported language teaching). The textbooks, together with their accompanying asynchronous practice materials and tasks, are designed for first- and second-year Korean courses but can also serve as engaging and practical self-study resources, with or without the support of a Korean-speaking friend or tutor, as they are freely available on the Open Educational Resources (OER) platform.
