Spanish Course Offerings (LSP)

Spanish for Health Care Professionals is a non-credit 8-week course that will be offered in Fall 2024 by the Yale Center for Language Study. Registration is now open (link to registration form).  The course site is located in Canvas.

Classes will begin on Monday, September 16, 2024, and will conclude by November 11, 2024.  Classes will meet remotely via Zoom twice weekly (Tuesdays and Thursdays for level I; Mondays and Wednesdays for level II) in the evening. Course seating is limited and we strongly encourage interested students to register by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11. 

Also, a special optional review/make-up class will be held at the end of each course (normally prior to the administration of the Final Project) which will allow students to make-up one excused absence.

The course fee is $150 (includes a non-refundable registration fee of $75) for students enrolled in a participating Yale Department or Program.  The course fee for students not enrolled at Yale is $200, (includes a non-refundable registration fee of $75) payable to the Yale University prior the start of the first class.

You will be refunded the course fee (minus the non-refundable registration fee of $75) if you drop within the first week.  Should you drop after the first week, you (or your Program/School) will be responsible for the full course fee.

The final component of your registration involves a brief placement test meant to gauge your current abilities and to assist us in placing you in an appropriate course.  The placement test, including a video clip and a brief digital recording component, will ideally take no longer than 20 minutes of your time. Registration is now open.
