Kris Wingo received his MA in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Illinois, and his MS in Learning Technologies and Design from the University of Missouri. His career has included teaching language at university intensive English programs, designing online learning, and, in his current role, a combination of both language and technology. As the CLS’s language technology specialist, he manages and supports a variety of technology-related programs and projects, including the Shared Course Initiative, the Pressbooks pilot, OER creation and dissemination, and the CLS’s social media. He also presents on technology and language and is available for language technology consultations. Outside of work, his other weekly commitments include tutoring at New Haven Reads and attending Movie Club, where he has served as the Creative Director for five years.
