Center for Language Study is hosting the NERALLT 2019  Fall Conference on the theme of  LANGUAGE, TECHNOLOGY, AND LANGUAGE CENTERS AS TOOLS OF EMPOWERMENT: OUR CAMPUSES FOR A GLOBAL WORLD.

Keynote Speaker for NERALLT 2019 is Nelleke Van Deusen-Scholl, Ph.D., who serves as Associate Dean of Yale College, Director of the Center for Language Study, and Adjunct Professor of Linguistics at Yale University.

The title of the keynote presnetation is: Language education and globalization: The evolving role of language centers 

Dr. Van Deusen-Scholl will outline some strategies that language centers could adopt to empower students to become global citizens, providing some specific examples of pedagogical innovation and language advocacy.
