Event description:
Presented by Anna Moldawa-Shetty, Sr. Lector I in English, ELP and Liese Sippel, Lector, German Department, this hands-on workshop focuses on current approaches and techniques in teaching pronunciation. Presenters will discuss strategies for raising students’ phonological awareness and helping them become more comprehensible in the target language. Workshop participants will explore segmental and suprasegmental aspects of pronunciation using teaching tools such as rubber bands, kazoos, and lollipops. Presenters will also discuss different types of corrective feedback as they relate to pronunciation learning and teaching.
