Drop-in Foreign Language Tutoring

The CLS offers foreign language tutoring on the bottom floor of Bass Library.  These sessions are open to anyone in the Yale Community.

Spanish Mondays 6-8pm Bass L30D
Chinese Wednesdays 7-9pm Bass L30D
German Wednesdays 6-8pm Bass L30C
French Wednesdays 7-9pm Bass L34A

English Language Program

Courses in the English Language Program for Fall 2015 are now open!  To register, click here.  For information, click here. The first orientation session will be on September 3rd at 5:30pm to 7:00 p.m. in Room 100 at the CLS (370 Temple).  The second orientation will be on September 14th at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30pm at the CLS.

Medical French

Registration for Medical French is now open!  Courses run in the evenings after 5:00 p.m.  They begin on September 14 and conclude on November 20.  To register and for more information, click here.

Language ePortfolios

The CLS supports graduate and undergraduate students who want to showcase their language accomplishments in an ePortfolio.  See how Laurie Lomask and Tanya Romero-Gonzalez present their teaching and research in two stellar examples of how the medium works.  For information about how to create your own ePortfolio, contact Suzanne Young.

Certificate in Second Language Acquisition

The CLS offers a Certificate in Second Language Acquisition designed for Yale graduate students in departments of language & literature to provide a comprehensive training program in SLA and language teaching methodology.
