Adam Stein is a program manager who oversees the Directed Independent Language Study (DILS) and Fields programs, as well as the World CLASS program for area high school students. He also serves as co-chair of Future Leaders of Yale, one of the university’s Employee Resource Groups.
Adam holds dual bachelor’s degrees in French and advertising from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s degree in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and a PhD in Educational Leadership & Policy Studies.
Before joining Yale, Adam taught at universities in Texas, Japan, and Malaysia, where he served as a U.S. Department of State English Language Fellow during the 2018–2019 academic year.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys hiking, traveling (57 countries and counting), and exploring new cultures. He is also a four-time marathon runner and an active member of the New Haven Road Runners (NHRR).
