Event description:
Prof. Claire Bowern (Linguistics) will give a talk about the Yale Grammar Bootcamps, a series of summer intensive programs for students who want to work intensively on a language. She will describe the rationale of the program, its value for teaching linguistics and for publishing documentary materials on endangered languages, and the resources produced.
