Our Faculty

The CLS offers faculty support for teaching, research, and the sharing of ideas in the language community at Yale.  We sponsor workshops on the practice and theory of teaching languages, host Brown Bag luncheon talks, and bring presenters from outside Yale to speak on teaching amd assessment.  The CLS offers funding for faculty to give talks at national conferences and to develop innovative teaching materials.  We offer technology support, including assistance with media for teaching, training on new technologies, coordinating testing, and advice about new platforms for enhancing teaching, such as social networking and blogs.
